Demonstrated need

Your “demonstrated need” is determined by looking at the cost of attendance and subtracting your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Your demonstrated need can change every year, based on variables such as changes in your income (and that of your parents) or whether you have other siblings going to college. The most well-endowed schools in the country can meet 100% of demonstrated financial need. Most schools do not.
