Early Decision (ED)

Colleges that offer this application round welcome binding applications in November with the guarantee of a decision by mid-December. As a binding option, a student declares that if admitted they will enroll at the college (assuming any financial aid issue is resolved) and withdraw all other applications from consideration. Accordingly, students who pursue an Early Decision application should have a clear first choice.
