Letter of Accommodation

A formal letter issued by the campus office responsible for helping students with documented physical, mental, or learning disabilities. This office goes by many names, but common names include Office of Disability Services, Office of Student Accessibility Services, or Office of Student Support Services. Your Letter of Accommodation is confidential and can only be viewed and used at your discretion. It is recommended that you share it with your professors from the start of your first semester, whether or not you intend to take advantage of the accommodations. Meeting with your professors and sharing your Letter of Accommodation is crucial to advocating for yourself and ensuring that your rights are protected.
